The hotel had a great and unbeatable location close to Gran Via Street. The room was newly renovated and fashionable included central heating, a personal safe and multi-channel TV.

The location is the best, especially for those who do not drive and are addicted to shops. If you do not meet any of these conditions, there are more convenient options in terms of comfort and price, although logically somewhat remote.
triple room without breakfast at 200 euros a night and a view of an air shaft and service stairs is not the best, if only it had a better view it would be at least acceptable. Although it has 2 places reserved for loading and unloading passengers and luggage on Mesoneros Romanos street, fact of having to take the Gran Vía to get to the Plaza del Carmen car park (very expensive on the other hand), I think that it will not be completely comfortable as they are making reforms by widening the sidewalks on that avenue, so to get to this car park which is just 100 metres away on Abada street, you will have to make a very long turn. In the days when we were away the access to Gran Via was closed, we had to go in reverse to Calle de la Abada and there if you had the advantage of 100 meters to the parking, at certain times can be chaotic by the number of vehicles that are doing the same maneuver.

The location is perfect. Comfortable beds, except for the sofa bed. Overall cleanliness, good.
There were only general lights for the whole room. Whatever you turned on, you woke up your roommates. A door connected our room with the one next to it and we were listening to the guests as if they were inside our room. There were only two elevators (and small ones) for a 10-story hotel with 30 rooms per floor. There was a lack of natural light; on the seventh floor and at noon the light had to be turned on. A little more cleaning in the rooms would be nice. Floor, beds and bathroom were spotless, but there were two or three boogers on the wall from some pig that had passed by before us, so we should have cleaned up. The sofa bed made you fall towards the centre; we had to put a pillow on it to avoid it.

The price-quality ratio is not good. Although it is very well located, it has some important shortcomings. The hotel is quite big and you can hear everything, the cafeteria and breakfast staff is not at all helpful (and rather bordering on rude). The breakfast is varied but the products are of bad quality, in addition that one is going to have breakfast and also until controlling you the key of the room in case you were lying to them with the number that you decide and bring you the coffee measured from the kitchen, until re forced to sit down in a table. To ask for hot water they charge you. It doesn't matter that it's 1 euro, I don't mind the euro, I mind paying for something that everywhere, even in the most precarious accommodation is free. There are two small elevators for a 10-storey hotel with about 30 rooms per floor. It really is a nuisance to go up. They don't answer even by chance to the category they have. I've been in much better accommodation of a lower category. I wouldn't go back, I don't recommend it. The location is excellent but the area is full of hotels and all kinds of accommodation, so I would look for something else.

In overall, the place is original, has outstandingly accommodating staff that provided great services. Plus, the location is incredible, minutes from a huge plaza. The airport is 25 km away...

Location, spacious and clean family room. Friendly reception.
Rude dining room staff. The employee who tends to the dining room and gives you a tremendously inefficient table, empty tables without cleaning and a queue at the door and also answering customers badly. The other employee who works in the dining room is just as unpleasant to the customers. Especially if you go to breakfast after 10:00. The 20-minute queue is generated by them. All the tables are empty, not picked up, and she kept us waiting for 20 minutes. When a customer told her that the wait was excessive, she replied that she had been there since 7:30! The waitress inside, when we asked her for bread, because she was exhausted, told us that at 10:20 they were not making any more, that it was over. After being in line at the door since 9:55. At the end I take out bread. I don't understand the need for such rudeness if there was bread to spare. Once inside at 10:30-10:35 they turn off the lights. EVERYTHING'S AWFUL.

The location was great; right on Gran Via with easy access to just about anything. The room was pretty small but it was done in such a cute way that I wasn't bothered by it.
Quite bright at night, because of the lights on the building opposite. I had to sleep with a mask on. The staff could have been a bit friendlier.

We stayed 2 adults and 2 children in a quadruple room without views, room was very good, clean and comfortable, it was recently reformed very nice, although it was without views to the Gran Via, as it was in the 9th floor it was very luminous and had views of another side of the city. beds were comfortable except for a single bed that was very soft (two beds are sofa beds or are at the entrance of the room with TV), a separate double bed in another room also with TV, bathroom was very clean (the bathroom door is somewhat transparent glass so there is not as much privacy (you have to take into account if you go 4 people who are not confident! on the other hand the room has an electric kettle with cups and infusions and coffee and water, as well as a microwave and a fridge, soaps and some bathroom utensils. room is perfect for a weekend for 4. hotel staff is very correct and friendly, manager especially. location is unbeatable. totally recommendable value for money!

The excellent location was the Regente's best point, right next to the Gran Via, but without the noise.

Location was Brilliant - Right in the centre close to shops (many) and bars for nightlife and only 100metres from the nearest tube station. Excellent value for money. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels provided daily too. Reception staff were extremely helpful

It was just an excellent fit for a weekend in Madrid with good value for cost. The staff at the reception seemed to ignore my call for help when I hurt my ankle, frustrating. Be cautious about valuables as others have had issues.

Great location very close to Callo metro stop. Friendly staff, good air conditioning in the room, very good breakfast.
Some noise from the street, but this is not really the hotels fault.
